Death By Board Game

International Tabletop Day was a blast.  Thanks all for coming.  A ton of games were played by a bunch of people.  Thanks a bunch to Wesley and Esther for providing a bunch of games for people to play and helping teach their games.  There were 2 highlights from the event that I would like to name.

First of all, my daughter Elianna taught her first game.  She sat down with some kids and showed them how to play Pokémon.  I can’t tell you how proud I was of her of patiently sitting down and walking the kids through the game steps.  Her dreams of becoming a teacher have begun.20150411_205110

The other highlight for me had to be the co-op games.  We had Pandemic where despite all of our efforts, the diseases raged out of control and wiped out civilization.  Castle Panic in which the monsters bashed us around and finally defeated us when a giant threw a boulder and knocked down our last tower.  Finally there was Ghost Stories in which we battled all manner of monsters and ghosts but were finally killed by the evil Wu-Feng.

Even though we lost all of our co-op games, I had so much fun doing it and I look forward to the day I conquer all of these games.

International Tabletop Day may be over, but the games will continue.  Every Sunday at 1pm, we will be playing board games here at Glimpses so swing on by and play some of our games or bring in your own games and teach some people.  Once again I would like to thank everyone that came and we look forward to playing more games with you soon.
